ÿþJCST is a Java implementation of the class function/shape function approach to create surfaces typical for aerodynamic design and optimization for aircraft.

The relevant paper is:

Kulfan, B.; "Universal Parametric Geometry Representation Method", Journal of Aircraft, Vol. 4, No. 1; January-February 2008

On Feb. 24 2011, the sourcecode of JCST was released on sourceforge in the hope that it will eventually be usefull. The first release was made "to get the code out quickly".

It already provides basic functionality.

It should be able to create an airfoil (JCSTAirfoil.java) according to the CST theory.

The 3D shaping of fuselage type bodies (JCST3D.java) has been implemented but it does not work yet.

The wing geometry (JCSTWing.java) should work. A wing with a kick (or kink, or yehudi) is implemented in the file JCSTWingWithKick.

Documentation is not yet available. Yeah, shame on me. I will add documentation at some point (if you got a penny for every time you read that, then you would be rich, right?), I promise.

License is GNU GPL.
