Encrypted NotePad
Description: Basic text editor with strong encryption
This notepad is pretty basic - it does not even have cut and paste in the menus (the usual keyboard shortcuts do work, but remember to use CTL rather than ALT) However, the app promises to do the following:
Encrypted Notepad' does only one thing, but aims to do it perfectly - a Notepad-like simple text editor where files are saved (and later loaded) encrypted with industrial strength algorithms. Unencrypted data is never stored on-disk.
Adapted and packaged for Haiku by Michel Clasquin-Johnson. Tested on Haiku R1/beta 4 in the x86_64 bit variant and OpenJDK. Should run on 32-bit but that has not been tested.
Requires: The latest Java runtime from the official Haiku repositories. At the time of writing, installing openjdk21_default will see you through.
