IsItPrime for Mac v0.2
Build 1
Testing beta
http://sourceforge.net/projects/isitprime/
-

Requirements

- Mac OS X 10.8.0 (Mountain Lion) or later
- Intel EM64T CPU (any 64-bit capable Intel processor)
- At least 512MB of free RAM

Background

Thanks for trying IsItPrime. This is a relatively complete, albeit not as full-featured version of IsItPrime (compared to the Windows version).

IsItPrime is highly effective and efficient, although there are undoubtedly some minor issues and/or inconsistencies that were missed in testing. The development, coding, and testing teams are comprised entirely of me (Jaska), so if there is anything I overlooked, please do not hesitate to tell me.

How to Use

You'll see a text field up at the top. Enter any number. Each application has different requirements.

Click Test. You may also click Test (Verbose) - this mode displays all unique factors (that is, up to the square root of your number).

Wait a bit, since for very large numbers it can take a minute or more.

You can then click Save to save a text file to the IsItPrime Results folder your Documents folder.

You can then click Clear to delete the contents from memory (and display) and start again.

Notes

IsItPrime (like most NCPrime applications for Mac) requires OSX 10.8.0 (Mountain Lion) or later. This is primarily due to the Tweet button, as the service used to carry out that sharing action does not exist in previous versions of OSX.

IsItPrime is also 64-bit only, which is fine considering that a deployment target of Mountain Lion implies 64-bit processors across the board.

Oddly, I do not have access to a Mac running Lion or earlier versions of OSX for testing, so I do not know how IsItPrime will behave on previous versions of OSX. Indeed, I am not entirely sure it will even run.
