Highlights of INVESTOCK Analyse, back test and estimate the maximum rate of return from the historical prices of an equity stock listed in NSE, India between any two selected dates for more than 20 years. INVESTOCK program is used to get the historical prices of an Indian share listed in National Stock Exchange (NSE), India between any two selected dates. All the shares listed National Stock Exchange (NSE), India can be analyzed. Interactive graphs will be displayed for the analyzed data and it can be downloaded in any desired formats. Predict the winning percentage of an equity. 20 + years data for a share (if available) can be fetched. HOW TO USE? Open the INVESTOCK.exe file inside the folder INVESTOCK. Allow the antivirus / firewall program to run it. Add exception to this program, to run. DO NOT MOVE THE INVESTOCK.EXE FROM THE FOLDER AS IT REVOKES THE FILE DEPENDENCIES OF THE FOLDER. Run it. 1. Data analyzing speed depends on computer configuration, internet connectivity and remote server response to fetch historical data. 2. Check the status of the NSE server for historical price also. 3. Enter the equity code as in NSE, India. Example: TCS 4. Enter starting and closing date digits in the format, dd-mm-yyyy. Example: 4th May 2020 should be entered as 04-05-2020. 5. All price data is given in INR and analysis is based on the day’s closing price of the stock. 6. Interactive graphs will be displayed for Dates / Days vs Price or VWAP*, Moving Average. (*VWAP: Volume Weighted Average Price). Graphs can be saved in various formats. 7. All the fetched and processed data will be saved as stock code .csv file format in the same directory /folder. 8. INVESTOCK analyses and fetches the following data for the selected dates: Maximum Return Maximum profit percent Maximum Loss Maximum Loss percent Starting price Highest price Lowest price Closing price Average price Winning % & Losing % Number of days in Profit & Loss Number of days above Moving Average Moving Average Winning %: Number of trading days between the selected dates. Total number of days between the selected dates. Known bugs: Closes without notification, if dates or stock codes / equity symbols are mismatching. If the csv file for the stock to be analysed is open during execution, it throws errors and closes. If the remote server or NSE server is down, no output will be displayed.
