The MacOS version of IndiStarter include the INDI server and drivers. The version of INDI is indicated in the file name.

On Linux you need to install INDI by using the packages provided by your distributioni, or from https://launchpad.net/~mutlaqja/+archive/ubuntu/ppa , or build from source using a script like https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pchev/ccdciel/master/scripts/indi/build_indi.sh
