This is a collection of Informix reporting tools for Informix Data Base 
Administrators and Developers.  All tools are free of charge, and you are free 
to modify and change them at your leisure without penalty of copyright 
infringement.  The original program remains the property of Tim Schaefer, 
Copyright 2000, All Rights Reserved.

A program is included with this kit, "IDStools", that describes what each tool
does, in a very abbreviated form.  It provides you enough information to tell
you what to do with it but may not offer you enough background on how or why 
the tool should or would be used.  If you have questions, please contact me,
Tim Schaefer, tim@datad.com and I will attempt to help you use
the tool if I can.  You can run IDStools and it will display a list of the
tools with a brief description.

Installation

After you have unarchived the programs, they need to be made executable with
the chmod program.

chmod 755 IDS*

Usage

Most if not all of the programs give instructions if you run the program 
without arguments.  They are not perfect, some break, and some need more
work.  They will however provide you with some nice tools to add to your
other arsenal of tools.  If you discover a bug I would very much appreciate you
sending me an email to let me know so that it can be fixed, or if you offer a
fix let me know and I'll make sure it's fixed.
