This is the Nigerian component of the International Corpus of English, a corpus of contemporary Nigerian English as it is used by educated Nigerians. The corpus can be downloaded in different parts: - ICE-Nigeria-txt-and-xml-files.zip The complete corpus as text files and as xml files (spoken and written part of the corpus). Also includes more information on the corpus. - ICE-Nigeria-written-pos-tagged.zip The written part of the corpus with parts of speech tagging. - ICE-Nigeria-raw-files This folder contains all raw files, i.e. recordings for the spoken part and scans (or similar) of original documents for the written part. We recommend Pacx http://pacx.sourceforge.net/ in order to search the xml/eaf version of the corpus. This also allows searching for speaker attributes such as gender, age and ethnic group.
