I tried to compile it on the Ubuntu box where g++ compiler was correct; but still faced some of the problems. 1. Need to remove stream.h and ostream.h from gen.h and in place do the following #include <stream> #include <osteam> #include <iosteam> <--- Add this new line as it is required using namespace std; <-- add this line to avoid cout erros during compilation 2. Modify the main.C remove that new.h include and remove iostream.h as it will come from gen.h which is included as a last include. 3. For strcmp function, please do add #include <string.h> You are all set to get the compiled gen binary :) EnJoY --Takshak
