====================================================================== Release notes for Homer Conferencing version 0.25 (2013-02-28) ====================================================================== Homer Conferencing (short: Homer) is a free SIP softphone with advanced audio and video support. The software is available for Windows, Linux and OS X. Homer was developed as tool for video conferences and as streaming platform. The basic functions of Homer are separated into the following 4 application areas: video conferencing, streaming, recording, screencasting. The Homer software is able to communicate in peer-to-peer mode without any infrastructure. But it also supports SIP servers (PBX boxes) as well. The amount of participants of a live video conferences isn't limited by the software. During a conference, video as well as audio streams from files or hardware devices can be broadcasted to the conference participants. Quality settings from very low to very high (e.g. HDTV) can be selected by the help of GUI. At receiver side each video/audio stream can again be recorded to disc and made available for offline playback. Homer is licensed under the GPL-2.
