GLHockeyBoard DLL Readme

Most of you will need to download the executable and the DLLs. Most of these
DLLs come with GTK, so if you have a GTK program such as Pidgin or GIMP
installed, then you may not need them.

As of version 2.3, new cairo and pango versions are used, which do not require
the custom compiled version of freetype6.dll, so you can use a regular version
that can be downloaded elsewhere. The DLL pack contains a version that I have
compiled that is quite a bit smaller than the one from the GTK website, probably
because it is compiled with Visual Studio 2003.

The freetype6_p.dll is a version of the freetype6.dll mentioned above, except it
includes a real TrueType hinting engine. Apple patented parts of it. See the
FreeType patents page (http://www.freetype.org/patents.html) for more
information. I wouldn't use it before checking if the patents apply to your
location. The patents expired in the U.S. on October 9, 2009, so this is no
longer an issue in the U.S.

To compile the source, you need a bunch of cairo and pango library files that
are assumed to be in C:\cairo. As of 2008/2/23, most of these should be
available from the GTK+ website under their Win32 downloads in the development
packages. If you really want my set to compile the program yourself e-mail me.
