What's new
- One repository per knowledge base. Every branch's working copy is now a git worktree of one shared repository instead of a full clone, so opening a branch copies no history, one fetch serves every branch, and a deployment with many branches uses a fraction of the disk. The first start after upgrading converts the existing clones, one at a time, keeping their unpushed commits, stashes and ignored files. (#427)
- Change-request listings start no git process for what they have already read: branch tips come from the repository's own files, and a request's changed files and access entries are remembered per commit until someone pushes. Listings on a knowledge base with many open requests answer at once. (#429)
- Groups are listed to their members. The Groups tab, the share dialog and a grant show and accept only the groups you are in, unless you are an admin, who sees them all. (#425)
- A search pattern can no longer freeze the server.
grepruns the pattern in a worker with a five-second budget per search; past it the call answers 400 "Pattern too expensive" and every other request keeps answering. (#431)
Removed
- The in-app agent's
execute_commandshell tool. Every git operation an agent needs is a platform tool with fixed arguments; a call to the old name is answered as an unknown tool.
Upgrading
Read the new section in UPGRADING.md before upgrading. In short: the first start takes longer while clones are converted; keep the backups volume, which now holds the repository with every commit not yet pushed; rolling back to an earlier release needs the workspaces volume cleared first. No compose change is needed.
The Docker image is ghcr.io/bevel-software/hexis:0.30.0; the npm packages are @bevel-software/platform-*@0.30.0.
