Performance Enhancements:

Added an I/O block cache to the ROS3 VFD to reduce the number of requests to S3 for files not using paged allocation
-
Improved the performance of several tools (h5dump, h5ls, h5diff, h5repack, h5stat and h5format_convert) for specific file structures where many objects are linked to with multiple hard links
Enhanced Features:
- Made several improvements to the CMake logic for handling filter libraries
Java Enhancements:
- Added CMake cache variables for configuring Java dependency JAR paths, allowing system-provided JARs to be used in place of the bundled copies

hdf5(-VERSION).zipandhdf5(-VERSION).tar.gzarchives contain the HDF5 source code for this release. Binary installers are provided for Windows and MacOS in .msi and .dmg format, respectively[^1].hdf5-VERSION.html.abi.reports.tar.gzcontains ABI compatibility reports for this release of HDF5.hdf5-VERSION.doxygen.zipcontains the generated Doxygen documentation for this release of HDF5. The remaining archives contain HDF5 binaries with a pre-installed layout. These archives can be extracted and used directly, without having to use a binary installer program.
