Gigantic Text File Viewer is a program that allows you to read and navigate very large files, using minimum memory.


Gigantic Text File Viewer is available in two forms.

	1. 	A JAR file for use with a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8 or higher. This is in package GTFV.zip.
	   	Unzip the file GTFV.zip into a suitable, writable location, such as C:/SCHSoftware/GTFV080.
	   	Be sure to unzip the program in a location you have full write access to.
	   	Launch the JAR file by running the program called RunGTFV.bat
		   	
	   	If you wish to amend the JRE stack size, initial_heap or maximum_heap size settings, then edit the file 
	   	called RunGTFV.bat to set them to your preferred values, or you can do this from within the application on the
	   	Start Up Options screen.
	   	
	2. 	An executable setup file called GTFV-setup.exe. This does not require the use of a JRE.
	   	To install, double-click on the setup file. Be sure to install the program in a	location you 
	   	have full write access to. By default, the installer chooses the C:/SCHSoftware/GTFV080 directory. 
   		This should be fine, but if in doubt redirect to a known writable area.
		Launch the program by running the program called GTFV.exe

There are some pre-requisites to successfully using Gigantic Text File Viewer :-

	3.  Gigantic Text File Viewer requires 

	*   128Mb Minimum Ram 

	*   100Mb Free disk space

	*   For JAR File - A Windows environment that accesses a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.8 or higher.
	
	*   For executable File - A Windows environment.

	*   For best results, use a 17-inch screen, or bigger.
