Cross-platform Trivial File Transfer Protocol Daemon. As the name implies, TFTP is a client/server for TFTP network protocols. The TFTP protocol is a simpler version of classic FTP, primarily used to update firmware on network devices such as routers, commuters or IP phones. It can also start remote computers (PXE).
