_________________________ Intermediate test bundles _________________________ These files are intermediate test versions of Xiphos and BibleSync. Not specifically beta releases; just intermediate work, worth looking at because they do something new or interesting, that others might want to see or use. -- Currently there are no intermediate bundles beyond 4.0.1. -- They are some steps past their preceding real (no alphabetic suffix) versions. They are produced occasionally, with no particular plan, and in RPM, win32, and source tarball form only. If you use these and something goes wrong, please tell me about it. I would very much like to know if new problems have been introduced by the ongoing work. Ubuntu users: There are two ways you can use what's here. - Either trust that a current Fedora build will work, by using *.rpm directly: "rpm2cpio SomeThing.rpm | (cd / && sudo cpio -ivd)". You will need both "common" and one of the "gtkN" RPMs. - Or take a 14.04 LTS build's binary tree of the installed results: "sudo tar xzvpf xiphos-VERSION-DATE-UbuntuBinary.tar.gz -C /" In either case, the downside is that the files are not being managed by apt. But I won't do any more until someone else can give me an entire pre-packaged *.deb scripted build facility. Karl Kleinpaste (SF name 'charcoal')
