BibleSync Protocol

BibleSync is not part of Xiphos proper.  It was first developed inside
Xiphos and then extricated into an independent library so that other
applications may use it, integrate it, become BibleSync-capable with it.

The original version, 1.0.0, is unreleased here.  It was the first
implementation and seen as part of Xiphos 3.2.0.  1.0.0 will not
interoperate with anything later because 1.0.1 added speaker beacons.
BSP1.0.0 (in X3.2.0) will neither recognize nor generate speaker beacons
and BSP1.0.1 (as of X3.2.1 and later) will not recognize speakers without
beacons.

Subsequent versions will be released here, at least until a specific
BibleSync home is produced.

Soon, an updated spec will be produced and released which reflects both
the liberties taken with the original spec as well as with the beacon
enhancement that was necessary to handle the inconvenience and danger of
either inadvertent or malicious navigation by people who should not be
driving others' applications.
