• Keep updater notes in step with the release. When a GitHub release carries a latest.json updater manifest, editing its notes offers to update the manifest's notes in the same save (on by default), so the "what's new" your installed apps show matches the release page. The manifest's version, dates, and platform signatures are left untouched.

• Room to write release notes. The notes editor in the New release and Edit release dialogs now fills the dialog — replacing the short fixed box and its drag-to-resize handle — so a long release body is readable and editable at a glance in Write and Preview alike. The Edit release dialog is wider to match.

Fixed

• A failed AI run no longer passes its error text off as a result: an outage or a usage limit that interrupts a review never gets posted to your PR, and one that interrupts a generation never lands in the commit-message or other drafts. Failed reviews land in Activity & notifications with the reason (automated ones with a one-click re-run), and posting a review that stopped part-way asks first.
• On Windows, AI-ignore patterns that use a backslash escape — the form a file whose name ends in a space needs — now hide that file from the staged and branch diffs sent to AI, matching how the rest of the app reads the same list.
• Your AI ignore patterns now cover new (untracked) files when a branch name is generated — in the app and over MCP — where their names previously reached the provider whatever your patterns said. Names that match are held back and counted in the prompt's hidden-files note instead.
• Branch-name suggestions in repositories whose remote isn't named origin now compare your work against that remote's branch instead of a possibly stale local copy of it.
• Base-branch detection now works in repositories whose remote isn't named origin (a clone made with git clone -o <name>), so compare views and generated branch names start from the right branch.
• Automated PR reviews no longer run twice right after a push, so a re-review costs one run instead of two.
• MCP tools that can replace or discard things you didn't list — assignees and reviewers, a milestone, a Jira assignee or label set, reviewer notes, a merge that auto-resolves conflicts — now carry a destructive hint, so a connected agent can ask first.
• Editing a release through the MCP server now keeps the latest.json updater notes in sync with the release notes, matching the in-app editor, so installed apps show the same "what's new" however the release was edited.
• A merged pull request's timeline now shows the commit it was merged as.
• Stashing selected files now tells you when there was nothing to stash, instead of reporting a stash that was never created.
• The MCP stash_push tool now says when the paths it was given matched nothing, so an agent can tell an empty stash from a successful one.
• Removing an ignore rule deletes exactly the rule you picked, even when another line in the same .gitignore differs from it only by a trailing escape.
