• An AI draft you start in a create dialog keeps running after you close the dialog: reopen it and the whole draft is waiting, or press View on the toast that announces it. Repository-settings description generations survive closing settings the same way, and Enter submits a dialog exactly when its submit button would.
• Cleaning up many branches at once is faster.
• File and directory paths now truncate in the middle: the filename and its leading context stay visible when space runs short, across the Changes list, diff headers, worktree rows, and dozens of other path displays.
• The sidebar collapse control stays in the tab row when expanded and sits at the top of the icon rail, above the tab icons, when collapsed.
• When bringing uncommitted changes to another branch isn't possible, the stash offer that follows now leads with Stash and switch and comes with Reapply after switching already ticked for that switch (unless you unticked it yourself), so your changes still land on the new branch. Your saved preference stays as you set it.
• Opening a linked worktree keeps the repository's name in the header, with the worktree named beneath it, so you can always see which repository you're in — and the repo switcher highlights the main workspace's entry while you're in one of its worktrees.

Fixed

• Posting an AI review now warns when the text carries #N-style references that will link and notify other threads, and asks before publishing. Automated runs, where there's no one to ask, post those references as plain text where the format allows and name in the comment any that stay live.
• The diffs AI features read, and the file lists agent tools see, now match ignore rules against names exactly as git records them, so files with unusual names follow your rules instead of being hidden outright.
• Amending a pushed commit now waits for branch protection rules to finish loading before offering the force-push, and re-checks them when you confirm it.
• Every finished automated review lands in Notifications with a click-through: a pull request review opens its PR, a commit review opens the review text.
• Automated reviews of a remote pull request cover the PR's real changes even when the local copies of its branches are behind the remote.
• Committing, cleaning up branches, and editing branch rules keep working while you're offline — branch rules load from disk without waiting for a connection.
• Automated commit reviews are kept between sessions, so the review text (including partial output from a run that hit its timeout) is still there after a restart and reopens from its notification.
• The Projects picker, the discussions category filter and New-discussion button, issue close and more-actions menus, pull-request merge and review controls, the branch-update options caret, the branch switcher, and the clone dialog's Clone button now explain why they're unavailable to keyboard and screen-reader users too: the disabled control stays focusable, announces its reason, and shows it on hover. A held pull-request merge and the discussions controls now name what's actually holding them.
• Errors from GitHub reads now lead with what couldn't be loaded in plain language; the technical detail sits one click away under Details.
• File paths in a session transcript stay clickable for the life of the message, and middle-clicking one opens it in your editor just like a left click.
• Promotion branches (from Branch rules) keep their direction of travel: Update from the default branch is withheld on them, menu items and shortcut alike, with the reason on the label. Updating one from its own upstream still works.
• Push failures explain themselves on GitLab and Bitbucket too: a push to an archived GitLab project reads as such, and a Bitbucket remote with no password stored reads the same as a missing credential anywhere else.
• View on GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket and its shortcut are ready as a repository opens, using the host GitDesktop already knows for it.
• View on GitHub / GitLab works without a signed-in CLI. It now resolves the repository's web address straight from the remote, the same way View on Bitbucket always has — including GitLab's self-managed instances and subgroups, and SSH remotes on either host.
• Long lists stay cleanly laid out while you filter them — the clone and Explore repository browsers, Repository files, and Code TODOs keep every row at its own height as results narrow, and switching provider or file tabs brings that list back in at the top.
• The Delete worktree dialog says when the worktree's branch is already archived, and the completion message matches the removal exactly.
