Added

• Deleting a worktree can archive its branch automatically once the removal finishes — a checkbox in the delete dialog, offered for branches other than the default one, so a branch you're done with tidies itself away without a second trip to the branch menu.
• Pop out the commit box into a dialog — a roomier editor with your staged files listed alongside, reachable from the commit box or the command palette from any tab, even with the sidebar collapsed.
• Images open fullscreen. Click a screenshot in a rendered description, comment, or discussion, or either side of an image diff, and it fills the window with its label and pixel dimensions, a Fit / 100% toggle, and Open in browser for an image loaded from the web. In Fit view ← and → step through the other images in the same body; at 100% the arrow keys pan the zoomed image instead. Esc closes, and every image the viewer opens is reachable by Tab and Enter.
• Link previews. Hover a link in any rendered description, comment, or release note, or land on it with Tab, and a card shows where it goes: a web link gives you the domain and the full URL right away, then the page's title, description, and image where the site publishes them, while a mailto: link shows the address. Fetch link previews under Settings → General turns that lookup off when you want the destination alone.
• Mention autocomplete in local PRs and issues. On GitHub and GitLab repos, a local pull request's or issue's description and comment box complete @ people and # issues and pull requests, with GitLab adding ! for merge requests, the same way the hosted conversation surfaces do.
• Owner picker when publishing to GitHub. The publish dialog now opens with an Owner select listing your account and your organizations, and creates the repository under the one you choose. Organizations that don't let you create repositories are listed as disabled, with the reason on the row.
• References are links. #123 and @user now open what they name from any rendered body: descriptions, comments, review threads, AI reviews, and release notes. On GitHub, #123 opens that issue or pull request in the app, whichever it turns out to be; on GitLab, #123 opens the issue and !123 the merge request. @user opens the profile in your browser. Bitbucket bodies leave references plain, matching Bitbucket itself, and a reference inside a code span or fence stays plain text everywhere.
• Reference previews. Hover a #123, !123, or @user in any rendered body, or land on one with Tab, and a card shows what you'd be opening: state (Open, Merged, Closed, or Draft) beside the number, then the title and author, or the avatar and handle for a person. Esc dismisses it.
• The worktree manager shows when each worktree was last active, so the ones you've finished with are easy to spot.

Changed

• The Changes tab holds its place while it loads: the placeholder sits where the clean-tree summary lands, and a quick load skips it entirely.
• Selecting lines in a diff keeps the diff exactly where it is. The selected-line count and the Stage / Unstage / Discard actions now appear in the file toolbar, which tints while a selection is live.
• Dependency hovercards on the Insights page open at your cursor, and Tab to a package's name opens its card from the keyboard.
• Pull request, workflow run, and pipeline list rows now give the branch its own line, so branch names and ages stay readable on narrow panels.
• Loading placeholders in the Issues, Pull requests, Actions, Discussions, History, Tags, Compare, and Findings lists now match the rows they load into, so lists stay steady on first open.
• MDX files now highlight in diffs, covering the export and JSX header, the prose body, and ts, js, tsx and sql fenced code blocks. MDX is also available in the diff language picker if you want to apply it to another extension.
• GitDesktop now fits narrow and split-screen layouts: the sidebar narrows as the window does, the file list collapses and the diff toolbar slims down when space is tight, and the minimum window width dropped from 960px to 640px, so it fits half of a 1080p display even at 150% scaling. The sidebar and diff file list can also be collapsed on demand from the command palette or a keyboard shortcut.

Fixed

• A branch checked out in another worktree stays in the branch list. Archive is disabled for it and the menu item names the reason; Clean up branches leaves it out of both its archive and delete lists.
• Publishing a local pull request names the repository's own provider: on a Bitbucket repository the Publish to Bitbucket button, its logo, and the confirmation dialog all say Bitbucket. The local pull request and local issue dialogs describe the flow in provider-neutral terms.
• When saving the comment box's collapsed state doesn't stick, the box returns to its previous state immediately and keeps keyboard focus on the restored control (the one-line strip or the editor).
• Promoting a worktree keeps a status line on screen through every step: removing its worktree, stashing your main workspace changes, then checking out the branch — so a slow promote reads as running, right up to the moment the branch lands.
• Pull with rebase now looks ahead for commits that an upstream rewrite would take off your branch, names them, and asks whether to keep them (replayed on top of the new upstream tip) or drop them. A drop is recorded in Operation history; rebase pulls with nothing at risk run as they always have, with no prompt.
• A push that GitHub's secret push protection blocks now explains itself: the commits were not added to the repository, and you can rewrite them to remove the secret or use the unblock link GitHub printed when it's a false positive.
• Worktree lists read straight from the repository, with or without a connection: the Worktrees manager, the promote dialog's checks, and the branch pickers' "checked out in another worktree" badges all work offline.
• Staging, committing and branch actions keep working while a worktree is being removed, and while a fetch or push runs. An action that does still have to wait says what it is waiting for instead of hanging.
