• Actions tab: run rows now have a context menu — re-run or cancel the run, run its workflow again with the picker already on that workflow, open it on the forge, or copy its link; the same re-run, cancel, and run actions are in the command palette.
• AI excluded files. A new tab in Manage files… (repo ⋮ menu, or the AI excluded files command) shows every file your AI ignore patterns hide right now, each labelled with the rule that hid it and whether that rule came from the repo's .gitdesktop/aiignore or your global settings. Your rules sit above the list in evaluation order with per-rule match counts; click one to see just its files. A ! line that decides nothing is flagged there, with the fix where an enclosing folder rule is the cause. Select files and remove the rules behind them, from either source. The Tracked tab also gained an Exclude … from AI button that hides a whole selection in one step.
• Line counts on the changes list. File rows in the Changes tab now show how many lines they add and remove, so you can size a change before opening its diff. The Staged and Changes rows count separately: a file you staged and then edited again shows what's staged for the commit on one row and what's still outside it on the other. Binary files read bin, and untracked files show no counts (git has nothing to compare them against yet).
• Collapsible comment box. Fold the comment box down to a one-line strip to read more of the thread, on every conversation surface — pull requests and issues (local, on the forge, and Jira), discussions, and commits. Approve, Review, and Close stay on the strip, a saved draft shows its first line there, and the choice is remembered across every surface and across restarts. Collapse or expand the comment box is in the command palette.
• Compare tab: ahead/behind commit rows now have a context menu — check the commit out, cherry-pick it, create a branch or tag from it, or copy its SHA; commits on your branch can also be reverted.
• Fork activity card on Insights. See a repository's recently active direct forks (up to ten, most recent first), each with its latest activity, stars where it has any, and a link to it on the forge, plus the total fork count and a link to the full list. It works on GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, and on GitHub a per-fork Compare fetches ahead/behind counts, showing which forks carry commits yours doesn't.
• GitHub Projects on issues and pull requests. See which GitHub Projects an issue or open pull request belongs to right where you're reading it, and link or unlink it from a picker covering both the repository's projects and the owner's — your changes apply when the picker closes. GitHub only; if your sign-in is missing the project scope the picker says so and helps you reconnect.
• Issue activity timeline. Issues now show their full activity alongside the comments, date-sorted oldest to newest: labels, assignees, milestones, title renames, "mentioned this in" cross-references, linked pull requests, and state changes. A cross-reference row pointing inside the repository jumps straight to the pull request or issue it names (browsing a fork's parent under the Upstream lens keeps those rows as plain text). Works on GitHub and GitLab.
• Filter the keyboard shortcuts list. Settings → Keyboard now opens with a filter box, so reaching one action out of well over a hundred takes a few keystrokes: type part of an action's name, a category like Branches & stash, or the shortcut itself (shift, mod+p, F5), and type unbound to find the actions that have no key yet. Categories with no matches drop out as you type, and Focus the filter jumps straight to the box.
• Mention & reference autocomplete on GitHub and GitLab. Type @ in a comment box, a reply, an edit, a diff line comment, or a release's notes to pick a person, and # to pick from the recently updated open issues and pull requests — GitLab also offers ! for merge requests. Arrow keys move through the suggestions, Enter or Tab accepts one, and Esc dismisses. Each forge offers only the references it turns into links.
• The model picker for opencode sessions now lists your catalog from opencode models (custom providers included); the Settings → AI and PR review pickers show the same live list.
• Stage a line selection from the keyboard. Drag-select lines in a diff and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (Cmd+Shift+Enter on macOS) to stage them, or to unstage them on the staged side of a file — a selection that spans several hunks and mixes added and removed lines included. The chord is rebindable in Settings → Keyboard, and Stage selected files, Unstage selected files, and Clear line selection join the command palette.
• Submodule manager. The Submodules dialog now manages submodules end to end: add one from a URL, remove it (its cached repository data can go too, or stay so the submodule can be restored), update to the commit your repo records or to the tip of the branch a submodule tracks, edit a submodule's URL or tracked branch, and open one as its own repository. Adding, removing, and editing stage the change for you to commit, and Submodules and Add submodule are both in the command palette. Cloning a repository has a Clone submodules checkbox that initializes every submodule, including nested ones.

• Opening a Bitbucket repository is lighter on the Bitbucket API: deciding whether to offer Fork now reads only your workspace list, instead of listing repositories from every workspace you belong to.
• Checking out a commit or tag now shows a toast naming it and the detached HEAD state.
• Command search finds what you mean. Both the command palette and the filter in Settings → Keyboard now match your words in any order and ignore hyphens, so cancel pipeline reaches Cancel workflow run/pipeline and rerun reaches Re-run workflow run/pipeline. Searching by shortcut in Settings works exactly as before.
• Compare tab: ahead/behind commit rows now show tag chips, matching History.
• Choosing the opencode CLI as an AI provider now starts on the CLI's account default model instead of pinning a hosted id — opencode rotates those, so a pinned one can go stale; clear the model box if an older saved id lingers.
• Pull request and merge request headers now arrange the meta fields your forge provides (labels, assignees, projects, reviewers) in a label/value grid — two fields per line where the panel has room, one where it doesn't.
• Dropdown pickers now ellipsize long names that don't fit the open list and show the full name on hover; the closed field shows the full name on hover as well when its value is clipped. This covers the branch pickers in the merge, rebase, rebase-onto, cherry-pick, and worktree dialogs and across repository settings, plus the workflow, pipeline, environment, line-endings, and commit-message model pickers.
• Timeline event rows on pull requests and issues now show the actor's avatar beside their name.

Fixed

• Screen readers announce each file's change kind in file lists (Modified, Added, Deleted, …).
• Row tooltips ("View commit" in the PR timeline, "Open this check" on a check run) now appear when the mouse rests on the row's name.
• Cloning from a local Windows path with backslashes (C:\...) works.
• Conflict editor: files resolved in an external editor can now be marked resolved and staged in place — including modify/delete conflicts where you edited the surviving file, and files you emptied, or deleted while both sides still have a version.
• Right-clicking blank space in the History list, a file list (commit, PR, or Compare views), or the repository list does not open an empty context-menu popup.
• Long branch names in the default-branch picker of a GitHub repository's settings show their full name on hover.
• Dialogs running a history rewrite, a worktree rename, or a worktree lock now stay put until the operation settles: Escape, clicking outside, and the close button no longer dismiss them mid-flight.
• Screen readers now announce line counts as "N lines added, N lines deleted" (and binary files as such) everywhere the app shows +/− counts.
• Opening a file in an editor configured as a .cmd/.bat shim (VS Code's code.cmd, for example) now passes the file path to the editor exactly as written, whatever characters the file name contains.
• On the changed-files list, Space selects the focused row and leaves the list's scroll position alone, and Enter or Space on a row's stage/unstage toggle activates just that toggle.
• Insights scrolls in place. The repository header, the tab strip, and the time-window toggle stay in view while the charts and cards scroll on their own, and the Overview panel scrolls independently when it runs long.
• Panels that load on demand (the diff, Insights, Agent sessions, the terminal, syntax settings) show loading placeholders.
• Arrow keys move the caret while typing in task and review editors.
• Local issues written by MCP agents (new issues, comments, status changes) now appear when the app window regains focus, without a restart.
• opencode agent sessions and reviews now always run in the directory the app assigns them (a session's isolated worktree, a review's repository), even when GitDesktop is launched from a shell such as Git Bash that exports PWD.
• Creating a pull request now stays visible if you close the dialog before it finishes: a status strip shows it running, reopening keeps what you typed, and a duplicate create for the same branch is refused with a reason.
• A PR's divergence count comes from an exact base…head comparison; a fork head that can't be addressed exactly reads as unknown.
• Keyboard-activating a button inside a PR task row (view comment, task menu) now triggers that button instead of toggling the task.
• Repository settings opens with a single smooth backdrop fade, and keyboard shortcuts stay inside the dialog while it loads.
• Git operations run with Windows long-path support, so deeply nested repositories work (including conflict resolution), and path-length errors explain how to enable long paths for other tools.
• The Run workflow picker shows which workflows can be started manually on the chosen branch or tag: ones without a workflow_dispatch trigger are marked, and the dialog says so in plain language before you run anything.
• Dialogs now survive tab switches: switch away and back, and the one you left open is still there with everything you had entered.
