  • You can still find dbp.exe at archive.org. Search for the project site (see the support tab here). Look for an archived version i.e. in 2012. From there you will find a link to the archived zip. The original links are broken. DBP is good for basic needs: Resizing, linear RGB adjustments, turning, bluring, cropping, sharpening. What I actually hoped for was batch processing of the individual color adjustments (RGB curves) from a saved profile. But this is not a tool to batch process all the filters and tools which are available in GIMP. So I will try "BIMP for GIMP" which seems to be the up-to-date solution.
  • I can't find the dbp.exe file. I unzipped the .tgz file and again unzipped the .tar file. But there is no dbp.exe file. I also found a website that's explaning how it works. garagefarm.net/blog/guide-to-rendering-optimizing-scenes-in-3ds-max-through-textures-2
  • Excellent tool! Please can you add horizontal flip to the menu? It would help us game developers, as sprites often come facing one way. I can get to this by clockwise flipping and saving 3 times, I guess, but that's not very practical.
  • Ignore the one-star rating. Works perfectly if you take the time to read instructions; that's what the developer's site is for. Handles a wide variety of tasks. I use it regularly to prepare image files for client projects.
  • A previous reviewer said "no instructions, no documentation, .EXE (Windows) no nothing...? come on. why even post this." It only takes a few minutes to figure out how the program works. Click on the Input tab to select your files and click on the Rename and Output tabs for the location of your modified files. The tabs in the middle are for modifying the files. If you have the Windows version of this program then stick the dbp.exe file into the C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins directory. The directory may be slightly different on your computer. Then open GIMP, select Filters then select Batch Process. Some people like me find this program very useful and it saved me a lot of time.
  • Excellent plugin. It does the job beautifully. The best way to get it working is by compiling it from the source code.
  • This is really useful especially when working with a large number of files. If you need a windows installer / instructions, visit the plugin website in the description field.
  • Great plugin! I think the last review of 1 star was a bit too harsh... From a users point of view, it is very easy to use, and therefore doesn't need a documentation. I picked it up in minutes. Perhaps if you're a developer, you may want more though? I use it all the time for reducing file sizes for emailing, and my website (www.scottbouch.com) etc.. Cheers!
