  • It states its for windows once you look around and read everything they want you to be running a vm running linux to run this program or have linux installed natively. I went looking for a generichid.exe file to start the application which it doesn't have. I found this when looking to see what i could find "Windows Note that the last released Windows version, 1.2, uses libusb 0.1 which is only documented to work with versions of Windows up to XP. For newer OS versions I recommend you download the free VMWare Player, or equivalent, and install the latest free Ubuntu then follow the linux install instructions below." This is from their website. So no support for anything after XP. Better just run linux instead to run this program and even the help text file was no help. The following is from the README file. "This release is a linux only source code release. It needs to be compiled and installed. The Windows release is too hard (too time consuming) because it requires the use of libusb-win32-1.0 which is not very compatible with the linux libusb-1.0 API." If its too hard then remove the windows logo stating it was supported in windows if its to hard to compile.
