Description

gattai is a cross-platform system for pulling a bunch of dependencies, patching and building them and/or downloading binary packages, and then installing them in a central location. It aims to enable software projects to fully automate build environment setup.

gattai is not a replacement for other systems like apt-get, and in fact, it will have the ability to use apt-get when running on a system that supports it. Rather, it aims to both allow an apt-get like setup process on environments that do not support apt-get, and also to allow the ability to set up isolated environments for those that need that.
