With version 0.7 (KappaTestEdition) I have removed the dependencies on Slax. In the future I will upgrade the OS and replace the Mate display manager with the modern Cinnamon. To achieve permanent changes on your external devices like USB sticks you have to create a partition manually. The best way to do this is with Rufus.
