monitors ftp logs and sends alerts if user exceeds limit set, it also updates a mysql db table with users who do log in via ftp - to keep track and work out inactive accounts.
If the user tracking feature is not required then edit ftpmon.pl and comment out line 121, which does a system call (ye I know rubbish to ftp-db.pl)
This was a quick fix because the db server was running off a test machine and there was some network issues which caused mysql not to respond, this would crash the main script which was a running daemon.
You could develop your own front end to query the db table to see what is going on with your ftp server.
There is also a .sql file which needs to be imported into mysql
script and start up script relies on /usr/local/scripts to exist
the ftpmon-installer.sh should be run after you have updated the cfg file and ensured /usr/local/script exists
