_______________________________________________________________________________ README for the imtr.analysis modular audio descriptor analysis package and adapted cataRT data-driven concatenative sound synthesis system based on Max/MSP with FTM&Co. copyright 2005-2011 Real-Time Music Interaction Team (IMTR), Ircam--Centre Pompidou CataRT is essentially based on FTM&Co. by Norbert Schnell et al., For more information see http://ftm.ircam.fr This program is free software; you can use it and/or modify it under the terms of the "Ircam FORUM Libre" free software License. See files "contrat-forum-2008-v4-LIBRES-FINAL-ENGLISH.pdf" or "contrat-2008-forum-libre.pdf" for further informations on licensing terms. _______________________________________________________________________________ http://imtr.ircam.fr/index.php/CataRT DESCRIPTION This collection of Max/MSP patches for modular audio descriptor analysis in batch or in real-time is an experimental framework for prototyping of new audio descriptors in Max/MSP with the FTM&Co. extensions. Expect it to change, or be no longer supported at any time. It is for the moment linked to CataRT, beta version 1.5. All affected catart modules are suffixed with "1.5", so that you can use the mainline CataRT in parallel. INSTALLATION You need FTM (2.5.0-beta21 or higher) and the current version of CataRT installed (1.2.2 or higher). Put imtr.analysis somewhere into your Max search path. It includes replacements for some CataRT modules that constitute CataRT version 1.5 in directory "modules-1.5" that are suffixed "1.5". USAGE - example patches are in the "tutorials" directory: - imtr.analysis is the main patch with all descriptors - modular-analysis-demo is a simplified demo patch - catart-1.5-live-mosaicing is an example with live recording AND control of CataRT - the init button is your friend - don't be afraid of error messages at init, they mostly don't mean much, just go ahead and try it out!
