Welcome, Wanderer!
Thank you for downloading WORLDS2D. This game was originally created for Ludum Dare 30, the famous grandfather of all game-making competitions. The theme of the 30th competition was "Connected Worlds." I took that literally.
This readme is for the post-competition version, which includes numerous additions and improvements over the original submission, including many more levels. This version is the closest to what I had originally envisioned (although much of the functionality was already in place in the competition version). If you really must play the original, you can find it on sourceforge, or by searching for it on the Ludum Dare site.
But enough of my blabbing, go play my game already!

Installation:
Windows - Unzip into a folder and run WORLDS2D.exe. That's it!
OS/X - Unzip and run worlds2d-beta05.app
Linux - Requires having Love2D installed (available at https://www.love2d.org), then run "love worlds2d-beta05.love"

Instructions:
Goal: Go forth, Wanderer, and transcend your meager mortal form - find and enter the ascension portal (spinning purple thing) to enter the next plane of existence. Make it through all the planes and your tenacity will be rewarded!
WASD: Move
Space: Jump between worlds. Keep an eye on your jump fuel (green orbs in the top left).
