FindPlasmids is a package of executables and detailed instructions for finding plasmid sequences in sequence assembly files of bacterial genomes. It works by using the genome assembly as a query to search a local database of plasmid sequences of interest. Detailed instructions for finding and downloading plasmid sequences of interest at GenBank, and some executables that facilitate making the local Blast+ database, searching that database, and identifying likely plasmid sequences in that search result are included in the package. The FindPlasmids package is available for Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows. SUPPORT There is no support team for the FindPlasmids packages, there is only the author. barryghall@gmail.com Users are strongly encouraged to download on of the packages that includes documentation. Limited support for packages will be available as and when I have time. No support is available to those who only use the source code. March 23, 2018 Added program BatchFindPlasmids.
