Fedy lets you install multimedia codecs and additional software that Fedora doesn't want to ship, like mp3 support, Adobe Flash, Oracle Java etc., and much more with just a few clicks.
To install Fedy in Fedora, open a Terminal and run the following command,
su -c "curl http://satya164.github.io/fedy/fedy-installer -o fedy-installer && chmod +x fedy-installer && ./fedy-installer"
- Simple and easy to use GUI
- Always installs latest versions of software
- Saves downloaded files for later use
- Can be run from the command line
- Extensible with plugins
- And much more...
Perfect! Exactly what I needed - works like a charm! Thanx so much! :):):)
good job fedorautils
Great utility for setting up a new Fedora installation. Thanks
the utility is gr8 but i found a bug where installing gnome-shell extension for pidgin: Installing Pidgin Notifier Extension /usr/share/fedorautils/fedorautils: line 1359: git: command not found mv: cannot stat `gnome-shell-extensions-pidgin': No such file or directory Completed, but with Errors! the sequence of getting git has to be prior before this step at least. sorry that i would like to send an message to the author but for unknown reason sf.net doesn't load the page.
