The 2.5 line installs on PHP 8.0. v2.5.0.5 said PHP 8.1 or later, which was wrong: Exponential 6.0.15 runs on PHP 8.0. The 2.5 project and nine of its packages declared PHP constraints that left 8.0 out, although their code needs nothing from 8.1. All of them are released with ^8.0 now, and this release requires them.
- Updated:
composer.jsonallows PHP 8.0 (^7.1.3 || ^8.0) and requires the widened releases: ezpublish-kernel 7.5.42, ezplatform-admin-ui 1.5.34, ezplatform-core 1.0.9, ezplatform-user 1.0.14, ezplatform-richtext 1.1.16, ezplatform-solr-search-engine 1.7.14, repository-forms 2.5.21, doctrine-dbal-schema 1.0.12, ez-support-tools 1.0.17 and symfony-tools 1.0.7; PHPUnit^9.6 || ^10.5(10.5 needs PHP 8.1). xrowextract 2.5.20, which the kernel requires, runs on PHP 8.0 too. - On PHP 8.0 Composer installs the legacy kernel's 6.0.x line (6.0.15); on PHP 8.1 or later it installs the newest release (6.0.14). Both work.
- Updated: the page head loads the jQuery files the installed legacy kernel ships (jQuery 4 on 6.0.15, jQuery 3.7 on 6.0.14), read from ezjscore.ini like the kernel's own
ezjsc::jquery. The YUI 2 loader and its CSS are gone (nothing on these pages uses YUI); the folder view no longer loads a second jQuery from a CDN. Before, the front page logged "jQuery is not defined" and "YAHOO is not defined" on 6.0.15. - Added:
ezplatform:installadds the legacy kernel's own tables and columns that the platform schema does not describe (read from the installed kernel'sshare/db_schema.dba, written for MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite). On 6.0.15 that is 17 tables, among themexpbookmark_folder, and 10 columns, among themezcontentbrowsebookmark.folder_idand.priority; before, every legacy admin page logged SQL errors. On 6.0.14 nothing is missing and nothing is added. - Docs: PHP 8.0 or later from v2.5.0.6 (Exponential Velocity still needs 8.1);
cache:clearafter editingparameters.ymlfollowing a non-interactive install.
Verified before tagging with fresh SQLite installs from Packagist only, on PHP 8.0.30 (kernel 6.0.15) and PHP 8.1 (kernel 6.0.14): every documented step exits 0, 15/15 page and sign-in checks, front page without console errors, legacy rich text publish with a link, image upload with its variations, no CRITICAL, no SQL errors in the legacy log.
