v2.5.0.4 could not be installed as documented on any PHP version: the Exponential 6 legacy kernel needs PHP 8.1 or later, while several Platform 2.5 dependencies (FOS HTTP cache bundle 1.3, the GraphiQL bundle 0.1, cron, doctrine/orm 2.7 and others) declare PHP 7 upper limits. v2.5.0.5 fixes the install and four errors found on a fresh install:
- Docs: every Composer command uses
--ignore-platform-req=php+(orCOMPOSER_IGNORE_PLATFORM_REQ=php+), which ignores only those PHP upper limits; the minimum PHP and extension checks still apply. Requirements now say PHP 8.1 or later and Composer 2.2 or later. - Updated: the asset build installs on Node.js 14 again (sass kept below 1.100, node-releases pinned), without
--ignore-engines. - Removed: four YUI 3 modules of the legacy admin from the public page head ("YUI is not defined" on every page).
- Added: legacy settings for the public siteaccess, so unknown addresses answer 404 instead of the legacy login page with HTTP 200.
- Updated: requires
se7enxweb/richtext-datatype-bundle^2.0.3, which stores rich text URL links on the legacy connection; legacy edit, publish and image upload no longer fail with "database is locked" on SQLite.
Known, not changed in this release: composer audit lists 34 advisories in 6 packages (Twig 2, Guzzle 6 and PSR-7 1.x (dev only), graphql-php 0.13, Flysystem 1, symfony/mime 4.4); none has a fix on the versions Platform 2.5 can use. About 230 templates under themes/app and themes/common use Twig 3 / site-api functions and log assetic errors at build time; they are not rendered.
Verified with a fresh SQLite install from these commits on PHP 8.1: every documented step exits 0, 15/15 page and sign-in checks, legacy publish with a link, image upload with its variations, no CRITICAL in the log.
