v1.1.0.11: the legacy admin works
Exponential Platform Nexus 1.1 (Platform 3.3, Symfony 5.4). v1.1.0.10 installed, but in the legacy admin publishing and uploading ended in HTTP 500. This release fixes that and what a fresh install showed after it.
Legacy admin
- Updated: the rich text datatype bundle (
NetgenRichTextDataTypeBundle) is registered again; without it the legacy kernel had noezrichtextdatatype. - Updated:
se7enxweb/site-legacy-bundle^2.1.2: the ezplatformsearch release of Platform 3 (the legacy search plugin asked foribexa.spi.search),se7enxweb/eztagsinstead ofezsystems/eztags-ls(its tags datatype failed on SQLite), and the se7enxweb releases that replace the netgen legacy extensions, so none is installed twice. - Updated: the legacy schema completion gives every legacy table the legacy kernel's primary key, keeping its rows. Ten tables (ezworkflow, ezworkflow_event, ezenumvalue, ezrss_export and others) were keyed by their id alone, so on SQLite a new version of a row replaced the one before it. Existing SQLite installations: back up the database, then run
php bin/console exponential:legacy:complete-schemaonce. Rows replaced before cannot be restored. - Updated: the SQLite demo schema orders
eztags_keyword's columns as its data does (the tags tree was empty and content showed no tags). Installations made before keep the swapped rows; install the demo again to put them right. - Updated: the legacy image settings define the SEO bundle's
social_network_imagealias (every publish and upload logged "No such group"). - Updated: the ngadminui siteaccess no longer names YUI;
se7enxweb/admin-ui-bundle^3.0.1.
Install
- Updated: packages that kept the line from resolving on PHP 8.0 are replaced:
se7enxweb/layouts-core~1.4.14 andse7enxweb/content-browser~1.4.2 (fork releases that allow PHP 8.0 and replace the upstream packages),netgen/git-hooks^2.3,se7enxweb/metadata-bundle~3.3.2. - Updated:
se7enxweb/ezplatform-kernel"~1.3.44, !=1.3.45", the same kernel on PHP 8.0 to 8.5 (it recreates the Platform's composite-key tables on SQLite); the Platform's install and reindex commands keep theiribexa:*names, soexponential:installis this project's installer again ("Unknown install type 'exponential-media'" on PHP 8.0). - Updated:
bin/consoleraises a CLImemory_limitbelow 1G to 1G, so the Composer scripts and the documented console steps run with PHP's default 128M; doc/INSTALL.md says what older tags need. - Known: on PHP 8.0,
composer installwith Composer's security blocking left on still stops at Twig 3: every Twig 3 release that allows PHP 8.0 has security advisories, and the newer ones need PHP 8.1. A Twig 3 release with the fixes for PHP 8.0 follows; until then use PHP 8.1 or later.
Requires (released or pushed first): se7enxweb/site-legacy-bundle v2.1.2, se7enxweb/sevenx-themes-media v1.5.78, the 2.0.x branch of se7enxweb/richtext-datatype-bundle, the 5.4 branch of se7enxweb/symfony, and the legacy kernel (se7enxweb/exponential) with the SQLite fixes of 2026-10-24.
Verified with a fresh install of this commit from Packagist on PHP 8.5 (SQLite, the steps of doc/INSTALL.md without -d memory_limit, security blocking on): every step exits 0; pages, sign-ins and the legacy admin pages pass; in the legacy admin, three runs of three rounds each (publish rich text with a link, upload an image, add a bookmark, create a bookmark folder and move the bookmark into it, search for the published word) pass with no 500 and no 403; every content version keeps all its attribute rows; all 133 legacy tables have the legacy primary key; error.log and prod.log stay empty.
