Explorer++

Excellent file manager. Still there is a quite nasty bug: everytime a rightclick in the open area of the listview, it crashes.

After reluctantly upgrading to Windows 7 just for the sake of running Second Life (I still have XP by means of dual-booting), I was not happy with the look and feel of the user interface of Windows 7. On XP, I used the Classic theme modded slightly to resemble Windows 95 and with 7, that takes a little more tweaking and a few extra apps to get it as near as possible. Anyway, one of the biggest issues I had with Windows 7 was the increased spaces between file names. I have a resolution of 1280 x 1024 (5:4) and Explorer, when maximised with a detailed view, only shows 35 files. With Explorer++ configured the same way, and with the Display Window at the bottom disabled, 48 files are listed, making it feel more familiar and easier to navigate. I only have two minor points to make. On the Folders pane, zip files are treated as folders, even when that option is turned off. I would rather they not appear there, and only in the main window as regular files. Secondly, when opening a second instance of Explorer++ to drag and drop one or more files across, the window you're dragging from stays in focus when you click and hold the file(s), even if you start with the second window over-lapping it. This doesn't happen in regular Explorer. The obvious workaround is to use two small windows side by side, not over-lapping. Minor points like I said. I have set this as my default file manager. Highly recommended!!!

Excellent just some interface improvement missing.

Still room for improvements but all in all a solid app. Regarding crash on right click (at least in Win10). If you run the app in elevated state (as admin) the issue is resolved.
