    To compile without tk, search for my patch https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2798801&group_id=13179&atid=313179 It is used by LFS and Gentoo but unfortunately it has been classified as out of date. There is several segfault when running the test suite. Not so good

    Good tool, but it would be very nice to have it without the Tcl/Tk dependency - virtually nothing else uses Tcl/Tk these days, building the entire language and toolkit just for expect is a bit excessive.

    While I occasionally find the latest cvs head with compile issues, in general, it builds and runs well on sparc solaris and linux.
