Excel2GED is an essential utility, and Brian Smith is a great and knowledgeable person who obviously loves genealogy. We had to convert a 80 000 individuals home made database to a GED file in order to upload the result to Brother's Keeper. At first Excel2GED was not setup to process so many rows but Brian made the needed modifications and made it work. Now Excel2GED is even more robust and has a lot of features to help tracking errors.

Fast gedcom creator. Herman, to answer your second question, I expanded the cells to the full size excel allows by using the Kutools program. Once installed, go to each sheet you want to expand, Go to Kutools, Show/Hide, Unhide All Ranges. Repeat for other sheets.

Excellent program, an update was long overdue. It is so much easier to enter data into excel than in any genealogical program (I use Rootsmagic and Legacy).
