I was going through some significant problems with my hands and became unable to type for months (repetitive strain). Physical therapies did nothing to help. Despite severe physical pain, it turned out to be primarily rooted in emotions (stress and anger/not forgiving) - see Dr. John Sarno's books. This program kept my job for me. I'm pretty quick on a keyboard, but without my hands, this was my only alternative. I used it as a mouse, and used the auto-click feature with an on-screen keyboard to type. While it was terribly slow for typing, it was way better than nothing. I give it 5 stars because, for what it is intended to do, it is excellent, especially given that it is free. The options it gives to configure and adjust the sensitivity made it about as easy to use as seems reasonably possible with a single camera. For someone with difficulty using a mouse, it makes computer access possible. While I do not recommend this program for anyone who can use a normal mouse, I highly recommend it for anyone with such a disability. I found no other alternative in a reasonable price range to keep my job going. [There are cameras that follow your eyes, but they run in the thousands of dollars.] I used it standing up and placed the camera at a ~45 degree angle upward. This allowed me to walk forward and backward to move the mouse up and down, which reduced strain on my neck significantly. Thank you so much to those who created this program and made it available for free. I thank God that He lead me to come across this program to keep me going in the hardest time of my life.

This program is absolutely fantastic! The latest version is very accurate. I have tried every free head tracker program available ( about 12 or so). I'm also a SmartNav user and I have to say Eviacam performs almost as good. When it comes to placing the mouse cursor on a small spot on the screen, and holding it still, it performs even better. You do need a good WebCam though, with at least 30 frames per second. Take some time to configure the program properly. Using a head tracker takes time and practice. Praise to the developer, for making this program freely available.

AMAZING product with one little flaw with my use-case: My current configuration: Used at work on laptop which is docked. My integrated laptop camera is disabled - I use an external USB camera. I have the camera set to stop tracking if face not found after 5 seconds. I also use 3 monitors, and everything works seamlessly until... I undock my laptop. Rather than disabling the tracking, the software hangs and needs to be restarted. If this was fixed, this is an exceptional piece of software! Also, it needs an option so it will auto-minimize after start-up.
