Emdash Files

This release adds Prime Agent, project-level environment variables, drag-to-split panes, and native Linux ARM64 builds. It also refreshes the workbench and file tree while improving file watching, search, and restored sessions.

Highlights

• Prime Agent is now available as a coding agent, with native ACP chat, resumable sessions, MCP servers, and Emdash hooks.
• Define environment variables in project settings and apply them consistently to agents, terminals, and lifecycle scripts.
• Drag a tab to any edge of a pane to create a split and place it there. Tab bars and the terminal drawer also have a cleaner, flatter design.
• The file explorer now carries Git status colors up to parent folders, making changed files easier to locate.
• Claude adds Opus 5 and Fable 5.1 support.
• Native Linux packages are now built for both x64 and ARM64 in AppImage, DEB, and RPM formats.

Fixes

• File search and file watching recover more reliably from failed or cancelled watchers, honor exclusion settings, and avoid holding inactive workspaces open.
• Git repositories remain usable if a watcher cannot attach, and repository scans do less redundant work.
• Restored terminal-agent sessions recover correctly after an app restart.
• Markdown reference links and images render correctly, and wide tables can scroll horizontally.
• The chat composer keeps the caret visible across line breaks, while mention and other selection popovers stay within the viewport.
• Project directory browsing, task-specific sidebar widths, terminal theme changes, and empty terminal drawers now behave consistently.
• Linux secure storage is configured before startup, and Windows agent launching prefers the correct executable shim.
