Tested under Linux Mint 19.1 and 19.2 It does work and import Shamela books. The problem with this program is the cumbersome search feature. To search for a word in a hadith for example, you have to find the correct search icon (upper left corner with a loop on a book), which displays a window full of options, where you have to find the book from a long tree list, or type its name with no error, which is difficult. Example: البخاري - مكنز You have to type this all since the name of the book is put that way. If you search for the number of the hadith, you will get a long list with not only that hadith, but also all other hadiths that have in their footnotes a reference to the searched hadith أطراف الحديث. Nevertheless, elkirtasse is much much better than thawab which is a program supposed to do the same, present in the software center of Ubuntu based distros. Elkirtasse did work with no issues, unlike another program i tried called Miftah that asked for an upgrade of libc6 library package to 2.28 (I couldn't do that). So that makes it the only viable alternative to Shamela i did find for Linux that works. 3 stars, could be 5 if the search feature is made more intuitive.
