Created by Alexande Devilliers (aka Elbereth/Piecito) 05-04-2011
===============================================================================
Requirements:
-------------
Dragon UnPACKer v5.1.1 WIP or more (tested with 5.6.1 only)
Install notes:
--------------
Close DUP5 if it is running (be sure you run latest version at least once).
Double-click on the .d5p file and follow Duppi instruction.
(You can also drag & drop .d5p file on the Duppi program file)
(or you can run Duppi and select Install package from hard disk and select
the .d5p file)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 2.1.1
Release [05/04/2011]
* Enhanced Bloodrayne .POD support by using buffered directory reading.
+ Added Ghostbusters: The Video Game .POD support (POD5).
This is almost the same file format as Bloodrayne .POD (POD3).
+ Added Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime .PAK support.
Includes decompression of entries (LZMA).
* Changed how magic ID string is copied.
Version 2.1.0
Release [10/10/2010]
+ Added Sid Meier's Civilization V .FPK support.
Version 2.0.9
Release [01/03/2010]
+ Added Battleforge .PAK support.
+ Added Dragon Age: Origins .ERF support.
Version 2.0.8
Release [12/09/2009]
+ Added Blade Runner .MIX support.
Added Command & Conquer .MIX support.
Added Command & Conquer: Red Alert .MIX support.
Only non-crypted files are supported, decryption code it still a no-go.
Should work as Felix Riemann driver, but with detection of filenames based
on XCC-Util database.
New filenames can be added by editing the drv_default_mix.lst text file,
one entry per file. Check file header for more info.
+ Added Giant: Citizen Kabuto .GZP support.
Merged from the now removed stand alone plugin.
! Fixed extraction from realMyst 3D sho.dni files (some entries were zlib
compressed but were not decompressed).
i Plugin is now using DUPI v5 (v4 compatible).
Version 2.0.7
Release A [26/06/2009]
! Fixed access violation exception when extracting from Total Annihilation
.HPI when compression used by the chunk was Zlib. Thanks to thedeathwalker
for pointing it out in artifact #2582198.
Release [22/06/2009]
* Added much needed sanity checks to all .DAT and .BIN formats.
This will avoid Dragon UnPACKer loading a file with the wrong file format
which was most of time caused by Nascar Racing .DAT format or Cyberbikes
.BIN format. They both do not have any magic ID/signature to rely on.
Beta 5 [20/06/2009]
+ Added support for Prototype .RCF files (should also support Scarface files
but I don't have the game to test).
Support is entirely based on john_doe (Benjamin Haisch) specs from Xentax
forum: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?p=17729#p17729
Compressed files (.RZ) are automatically decompressed during extraction,
therefore the filename is stripped from .RZ. Decompression info was found
on the Xentax forum:
http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3538
Beta 4 [20/06/2009]
! Fixed decompression of some Vietcong .CBF files entries.
Some files are stored in multiple chunks, in previous version only the first
chunk was decompressed. The extraction now continues until all chunks are
decompressed.
Example of such an entry in Vietcong .CBF MP Demo, in file BUILD12-13F.CBF:
DEV\EDITOR\MAIN24.BMP (2 chunks)
Beta 3 [19/06/2009]
+ Added decompression of Vietcong .CBF files.
This is entirely done thanks to unlzw.c from Luigi Auriemma. I just ported
his C code to Delphi.
Beta 2 [30/05/2009]
+ Added support for The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena .XTC &
.XWC. Some .DDS files are obviously not extracting correctly but that is the
best I can do.
+ Added support for crypted Vietcong .CBF files (retail version of the game).
Decompression is still not supported, but extraction of uncompressed files
is possible (they are decrypted).
This is entirely done thanks to cbfext.c from Luigi Auriemma. I just ported
his C code to Delphi.
Beta 1 [20/05/2009]
+ Added partial support for .RFC/.RFH/.RFD files of F1 Manager 2000.
Unknown compression used.
Version 2.0.6
Release [28/04/2009]
+ Added The Fifth Element .MRC support.
Looks like a file that should be common on all Ubisoft game (old ones?).
Seems promotional stuff for other games.
Version 2.0.5
Beta 6 [04/10/0008]
* Improved LithTech .REZ support.
Instead of reading everything until the end of file, it now uses some logic
which improves reliability A LOT!
! Fixed opening No One Lives For Ever 2 sound.rez.
Beta 5 [30/09/0008]
+ Added Riddick .XTC extraction of DXT5 textures.
* Improved detection of .XTC from retail version of Riddick game.
i Huge clean up of the source. I hope everything is still working as expected.
Beta 4 [06/09/0008]
* Improved Enclave & Riddick .XTC extraction of DXT1/DXT3 textures (MipMap is
included now).
+ Added detection of DXT5 textures in .XTC files of Riddick (still extracts as
.DDS).
i I will be testing with retail version of Riddick: EFBB next weekend then if
everything works I will release stable 2.0.5.
! Fixed F-22 Air Dominance Fighter .DAT detection to work with did.dat of ADF
& Total Air War. It was previously working only for did1st.dat.
+ Added detection of Super EF2000 .DAT files (same structure than F-22 ADF).
Beta 3 [04/09/0008]
+ Added partial support for F-22 Air Dominance Fighter .DAT files.
Partial because the directory name, file name and extension are not
retrieved and only the hash is shown (as hex value).
This is as far as I could go. From what I understood from the mails I
received from Jolly Anger the filenames are stored in the EXE file
of the game. But I don't know how to get them...
i No work done on XTC/XWC!
Beta 2 [03/09/0008]
* Improved Spellforce .PAK support thanks to info sent by Anonimeitor.
Now the directory names are shown! :)
i No work done on XTC/XWC!
Beta 1 [27/08/0008]
+ Added support for Enclave and The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher
Bay .XTC and .XWC files.
The support is good for .XWC files but quite approximate and prone to errors
for .XTC (Enclave is OK, but Riddick is a mess). That's why it has a Beta
status.
I will close Feature Request 1094221 when stable version is released.
Version 2.0.4
Release [23/08/2008]
+ Added support for AGON .SFL
Thanks to http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php?title=GRAF:AGON_SFL
Still missing folders, I hope to understand how it works... Still it is
already working without the folders so...
Version 2.0.3
Release [31/05/2008]
+ Added support for Entropia Universe .BNT (a request made by KingHell 3 years
ago). :p
This is a free online game, so feel free to try it:
http://www.entropiauniverse.com/
Version 2.0.2
Fix 1 [22/05/2008]
+ Added support for Starsiege: Tribes .VOL (which was supposed to be supported
already). Thanks to Eric for noticing this...
Support completely based on:
http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php?title=Star_Siege
Release [20/04/2008]
+ Added support for Act of War .DAT files.
Thanks to http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php?title=GRAF:Act_Of_War_DAT
+ Added very basic support for Dreamfall: The Longest Journey .PAK files.
Actually while trying to figure out what STFU4 file format might be I found
a MUCH complete tool for this file format, don't hesitate if you need almost
complete support for Dreamfall: The Longest Journey:
DFTOOLBOX at http://clanlib.org/~grumbel/
+ Added support for Sinking Island/L'Ile Noyée .OPK
Version 2.0.1
Release [10/03/2008]
+ Added support for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion .BSA files.
Thanks to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes4Mod:BSA_File_Format
Please check there if you need to create this type of archives, there are
free tools for that!
+ Added support for UFO: Aftermath, UFO: Aftershock and UFO: Afterlight .VFS
files (which are all 3 the same format).
Started research by using info on XentaX's Wiki:
http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php?title=UFO_Aftershock
But it took me the weekend to figure out missing parts!!
Anyway, it works. ;) Check the sources for details on the file format.
Version 2.0.0
Release A [29/12/2005]
! Fixed the extraction of The Movies .PAK files (some files had 2
compression headers... I don't understand why...).
Thanks to the XentaX Wiki for the info.
Release [23/12/2005]
i For 2.0.0 changes since 1.3.6 look at the whatsnew.txt file of Dragon
UnPACKer 5.2.0+.
