DOSBox emulates a full x86 pc with sound and DOS. Its main use is to run old DOS games on platforms which don't have DOS (Windows 7 / Windows Vista / Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Linux / FreeBSD / Mac OS X)

I am using DOSBox in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Ubuntu 12.4 to support Generic Cadd 6 from about 1986. The Emulator works extremely well and is very stable.I have 2 problems that I have not overcome. I solve 1 with IrFanView and the other I use the wheel button for Right Click.
mad5scientist, - i'm not associated with the team that created DOSBox but your comment is highly uncalled for since you are wishing ill will on other people. Shame be to you!
very useful, not only for games
I wanted to add that DOSBox also works on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.I wish it would support copying the output of the program I use it for (Bertie3) to the clipboard.
