DOSBox-0.74 Configurator By: Dallas Roberts of Gooder Softworks Requires .NET 4.5 or higher and Windows OS Created using Visual Studio Community 2015 No Installation needed. Just place the executable anywhere on computer. This program automatically installs files it needs. Prerequisites: Either The Elder Scrolls: Arena, The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall, or both have to be installed before this program can be used, and they must be placed in a specific place. The following folder must exist: C:\DOSGames Within this folder must be the folders, Arena and Daggerfall. Within these folders must be the game installations respectively (DAGGERFALL and DFCD in Daggerfall, for example). The games must be ready to play for this to work. Any installation size for Daggerfall will work, because the C Drive is mounted at 2000 Megabytes. Usage: Run the executable file by double clicking, and allow the program to make changes to your computer. This is so the program can delete and replace your DOSBox configuration file. After you have made all of your selections, click the Save File button. This will replace your configuration file with the new one. After this, you can exit the program and test DOSBox. It should automatically launch the game you chose. Features: Keyboard Input Switcher - With this, you can change the input between QWERTY and DVORAK. QWERTY is the default option Video Game Switcher - Choose which game you want to play. If you click, ARENA, then you will be asked if you want to install a NexusMods mod called "Arena Remapped." This mod allows you to play Arena with the WASD keys and ultimately modernizes (as best it can) the way the game is controlled. If you choose Daggerfall, the program will automatically look for the Arena mod and uninstall it. This is because you can use WASD keys natively in Daggerfall, and because the Arena mod changes the way that DOSBox works. Memsize Allocator - Change how many megabytes of RAM that DOSBox is allowed to use. 16 is the default and recommended value, but if you experience crashing or any other technical issues you may want to try raising this value. Fullscreen - This doesn't need explained, I think. CPU Cycles - Change how many instructions DOSBox tries to emulate each second. Setting this too high may cause sound dropouts and lags. Auto is the default and recommended value, but if you experience crashing or any other technical issues you may want to try raising this value.
