With hackers such as Lulzsec and Anonymous threatening to attack the dns servers that tell us where websites are, don't you wish there were some way to find out for yourself so if this kind of attack did happen, you could still find your way around the internet?

Consider this: you've been to google.com millions of times. You trust google to tell you where stuff is. If the dns were offline, wouldn't you trust google to send you to facebook instead of an evil site if you asked it to? Or what about facebook if you asked it where youtube was? Even if they didn't have the ip you were looking for, you still trust that they would know where to look, because if you trust google you trust everybody google trusts by extension.

It's not perfect, but it's simple and everybody (especially webmasters) can start building these "dns caches" and webs of trust right now with little effort, and we can make the internet stronger, together.

...or we can just let the hackers ruin everything.
