Distributed NetBeans for openVMS is a plug-in which has two parts( a plug-in that needs to be installed on NetBeans IDE (7.0.1 is the currents version which for which plug-in is developed), and ideserver kit which is installed on the OpenVMS side,(java version 1.5 or above need to be present on server for Ideserver kit to get installed.

Using this set of kits we can create remote projects for languages like (c, cxx, pascal, basic, cobol,java), we can also write ant scripts, bash scripts ect. What ever we add/remove on the IDE, will be refleted on the server end as well.

We have all room for improvement.
