display Files

This directory contains all currently-released files from
the display project. I have collected all current versions
of the display program that I know of, and make them
available here. If you know of others, please let me
know.

Eventually I will put these all in CVS, and begin to 
add a new version that I'm working (excrutiatingly
slowly) on.

m-s.tar.gz

These are the files straight out of the
mod.sources archives from gatekeeper.dec.com.

vix.tar.gz
----------
These are the files maintained by Paul Vixie
at ISC, in http://sources.isc.org/. They 
differ from the mod.sources orignals only
in that the patch is pre-applied.

1.1.tar.gz
----------
This is a modification done by Dave Remien
late in 1999. I only discovered this version
after I made my modifications below; Dave
registered them on freshmeat. Although
Dave added a couple of new features, his
version still doesn't compile correctly
on many machines.

1.2.tar.gz
----------
This is a further release of Dave Remien's

1.0pl2.tar.gz
-------------
These are the files that reflect the changes
that I made last year. The program should be
functionally identical to Paul's version,
except that I've gotten it to compile on
a number of modern platforms. The changes
required were actually minor. This version
does not include Dave Remien's new features.

display-1.0pl2.tar.gz
---------------------
This archive contains only the basic few files
needed inorder to compile and run the current
release of display. Unless you want to refer
to the historical sources, this is the only
file you should really need.
