This software requires Java 1.7 or above It is portable software, so it does not require any installation. Just unzip the download file in a folder and it will start working. You may even run it from a USB. 1. Download the .zip file from the given location. http://sourceforge.net/projects/digitalcircuitdesign/?source=directory 2. Make a folder where you want to install the software. 3. Copy the zip file in that folder and unzip it there. 4. You will find a “DLD.jar” file in the unzip folder. Click this file and your program will start. 5. When it runs for the first time, it will ask your name. The name you entered will appear on all the circuit diagram and ICs, which you will design by using this software. Installation Problems: If “DLD.jar” does not run, go to the command prompt (open console window) and enter following command: Java –version If it shows you the version number, its fine otherwise install JDK 1.7 or above. If you have already installed the Java JDK, uninstall it and reinstall the JDK, You may find a lot of tutorials on the internet on installing JDK. If your software still not works: Go to the command prompt (open console window) and go to the folder where your software is unzipped, by using the change director ‘cd’ command. When you are in the folder, make sure that “DLD.jar” in that folder by running the “dir” command. Now run the following command at the command prompt: Java –jar DLD.jar Your software will start running. Always use and download the latest version.
