digicamscan

Allows to use a digital camera as a scanner by removing distortion and effects of uneven lighting from a set of photos. A picture of a white sheet of paper can be used as a reference for calibration. Outputs corrected JPEG files and optionally a PDF document combining all pictures.

Project Samples

Calibration: A photo of a white sheet of paper serves as a reference for the camera distortion and the white balance.

Batch transformation: When several CPUs and enough memory is present, several photos are worked on simultaneously.

Transformation: The distortion-corrected result is shown and additional transformation parameters can be set.
