GLib provides the core application building blocks for libraries and applications written in C. It provides the core object system used in GNOME, the main loop implementation, and a large set of utility functions for strings and common data structures.

Notes:

  • The "headers" package is optional. It only places duplicates of the GLib headers in the standard /usr/local/include directory.
  • IMPORTANT:
    • Manually defined to "1" in config.h:
      • HAVE_IF_NAMETOINDEX
    • Had to create some libtool (.la) files for the following SHARED libraries:
      • libws2_32.a
      • libiphlpapi.a
      • libshlwapi.a
      • libdnsapi.a
