Brilliant! Marvelous! This is the music player exactly what I need. It is even better than foobar2k on handling cue files. But I happen to meet bugs like fail to play ape files or can't exit the program properly in Arch Community repository version(but is ok in AUR). And I'm confused why this masterpiece is not in fedora/ubuntu/debian official repository. It is not convenient to install and update deadbeef in many distributions except archlinux. Anyway it is really great muisc player!

Are any updates coming?

very solid. features seem to be implemented carefully

I have been missing XMMS since it was dropped from my distro, but DeaDBeeF has finally filled my needs again. Features without bloating is possible!

Great audio-player! Very complete and low-weight. Finally a foobar2k replacement for Linux :)

Awesome! is overused... but this player is. It does it, and has it all.

To me this is the best music player out there for Linux. It's exciting to think of all the features it will have once it reaches production status, considering it's so good now.

This is an excellent project, lean, fast, plays everything. There is just one little detail that really bugs me now that I've been using DB for half a year; there is no way to export playlists. In effect this means I have no way to use my DB playlists for anything but playing them in DB on this one machine. It's a real bummer. Please add support for other playlist types! Please!

Great audio player for Linux and the like, based on Foobar2000. I used QuodLibet for quite some time, and also checked out some alternatives like Exaile. None of them really pleased by - this one does. Gapless playback, replaygain support, nice coverart implementation, and it uses almost no resources. Great stuff, and still more to come!

Спасибо за быстрый и настраиваемый плеер!!

Always in search for a foobar2k replacement, deadbeef is my player! I strongly recommend it, it has just what is needed, no more, no less. It's light, feature rich and reads almost every audio file. Can't ask for more!

brilliant player, the nearest thing to foobar in linux with an even nicer gui. considering it's only in the alpha stages, i wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed foobar in the by and by. once the noise-sharpening plugin and a more intuitive tagging system is added this will be the de facto audio player for linux, i think.

nice!

It's brilliant.

Спасибо! Поставил недавно deadbeef-git (archlinux). Раньше только слышал о нём (хорошее=) - не обманули. Успехов вам в дальнейшей работе. И спасибо!

Really lightweight. Simply great.

So responsive, great sound, deceptively simple interface. Handles a huge collection well. This might finally be the Foobar2000 substitute for Linux. Tagging and file management isn't there yet and song ratings are not supported -- otherwise, I'm sold.

Love it! At last a convenient way to read my collections of chiptunes! Long live DeadBeef (paradox, anyone?)
-
nice, light, clean and fully functional music player! I'm loving it!!

Simply Great. There are still some small bugs, but if the TEAM will develope and fix it at the same pace - it's gonna be the best open source player ever.

Amazing player. After years of searching for a native linux player able to play cuesheet, gapless, ape, flac, etc. I can say my search is over. Until now I have had to install wine just to use foobar2000, now I will not need wine anymore. With a file explorer (decibel audio player style) it would be just perfect.

Nearly perfect player!

Огромное спасибо автору! Как и многие, давно искал аналог f2k, и очень хорошо, что автор следует его идеям!
