BlueJ Explicit permission via email:
						------------------------
						Mr. Kolling-

Hello, my name is Matt, and I created the PortableApps.com version of BlueJ using the alternate installer provided on the site. Since it can't be legally bundled with SUN Java 6 JDK, I instead used the OpenJDK 6. Since I cannot find any other contact information, I would like someone who actually maintains BlueJ to look at the way I packaged it, and give any criticism. Thanks in advance!

						PortableApps.com: http://portableapps.com/node/27659
						SourceForge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bluejportable/files/

P.S. - If anyone who maintains the BlueJ project would like to take this over, or something like that, please let me know, because I am not exactly a professional PA.c developer by any stretch. <2011-11-02>
						------------------------
						Dear Matt,

Thank you for sending this, it seems to work fine. We are currently developing our own standalone version, that will not require installation. It looks like you've done a good job, but this is not something we are interested in taking over.

One comment I have is when installing it I have to set the folder to install into. It starts off as '\BlueJPortableDev', which isn't valid, you might want to set a default location, probably the Users directory.

						Kind regards,

						Philip Stevens <2011-11-21>

Chex Quest Explicit permission via email:
						------------------------
						Mr. Jacobi-

Hello, my name is Matt and I was one of those kids growing up in the 90's playing Chex Quest. I ran across your site while trying to find a working copy of the game, and I noticed you managed to compile the entire trilogy into a single package. I was wondering if I could get your permission to create a PortableApps.com version of the game. Basically, this means I would be packaging it in a certain way to be compatible with that platform. If you allow me to, I will make sure you (and everyone else involved in the original project) get appropriate recognition for their work. I will mention that even if you give permission, it may not be an official application for PA.c, at least until enough people deem it worthwhile. Thank you for your time, and I apologize if I have wasted it. <2012-10-17>
						------------------------
						Hello,
I personally don't have any issue with this. If there is any kind of monetization involved (even if offered on a freeware site that earns revenues from banner ads), then you need to acquire permissions of General Mills (intellectual property owner) and id Software (owners of the licensed Doom technology).
						Hope that helps,
						Charles Jacobi <2012-10-17>
						------------------------
						Mr. Jacobi-

Thank you for your permission on this matter. No monetization would be involved. I don't like or endorse anyone profiting from other's work. I can send you a link when it is completed if you like. Thank you again. <2012-10-17>

Open Hardware Monitor	Released for testing, FOSS (Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPLv2))
						------------------------
						Mr. Möller-

Hello, my name is Matt, and I recently stumbled across your application after seeing a forum post on PortableApps.com where a user on the site requested that your application be made into a PortableApps.com-compatible version. I decided to look at it and give it a shot, and was able to put it in the correct format. Before I release it for testing, I would like to ask your permission for packaging in the possible case that it becomes an official application. If you are not sure about what PortableApps.com is, please see http://portableapps.com/about/what_is_a_portable_app as a good starting point. I can guarantee that no money is involved in creating, maintaining, or releasing applications, and that I would not benefit in any way (except satisfaction) if it can be released for testing and/or as an official application after testing. I appreciate any answer that you can give, and I respect any decision you make. Thank you for your time. <2012-12-19>

ScummVM Explicit permission via Facebook:
						------------------------
Recently, there was a request to make ScummVM compatible with the PortableApps.com platform. I took the challenge and I posted the result here (http://portableapps.com/node/34943). If it's okay, I'd like to continue to develop this as more versions are released. I realize it's FOSS, but I still like getting "permission" or a "blessing". Cheers, and I hope I don't have to stop packaging =) <2012-10-25>
						------------------------
That's great. Would you probably consider submitting your patches for inclusion to the main line? Also if you would join the team as a porter with goal to maintain the build, that would be helpful. <2012-10-25>
						------------------------
I guess I might have phrased a little weirdly then =/. PortableApps has a format I put the Win32 application into. I didn't make any changes to the base application (that I know of), all I used were a couple of commandline things. Though I would be honored if I could be the official portable version maintainer. <2012-10-26>
						------------------------
Even in this case you may consider adding these to our build system and then, being an official porter, build for every release. Please e-mail admin@scummvm.org <2012-10-26>
						------------------------
Thanks for this opportunity. I'll email when I have a chance <2012-10-26>

Yawcam Explicit permission via email:
						-----------------------
						Mr. Lundvall-

Hello, my name is Matt, and I'd like to ask your permission to package Yawcam for the PortableApps.com platform. In case you haven't heard of it, PA.c is a platform for running applications from a flash drive, leaving nothing on the host computers. There is no profit involved in creating, packaging, or distributing applications and the programs themselves are rarely changed to fit the platform. Before seeking explicit permission, I created a working version of your program that utilizes a plugin called jPortable (for the PA.c platform). I have not released this and have only been testing it on a local machine. I appreciate any response, and I hope that I will be able to enable others to test this as well. If you request a copy of the application, I can give it to you in its current form along with instructions. Thank you for your time. <2012-11-27>
						-----------------------
						Hello Matt,

Thanks for your interest in Yawcam!
Yes, of course you have my permission to package Yawcam as a portable app. In that way Yawcam will reach more users, and then I'm happy ;-)

						Best regards,
						Magnus Lundvall <2012-12-04>
