    It is unfortunate that the project is dead. Really usefull tool.

    A big tool but it is NOT maintain since 2009 while the squid team is very proactive... If it works for you good, if not remove it..., you will never receive patchs or answers from the Dansguardian dev... Think this is a dead project...

    Excellent tool! I'm using it for more than 6 years now and it is the best content filter! No need to depend on blocklists, dynamic filtering beats it all. it is very fast and uses low resources (particularly when compared to other web filters). Configuration is easy and straight-forward, documentation is very good (highly appreciated). Very few false positives, very low maintenance (set&forget), perfect security record, great stability. Definitely belongs to the champions of open source league like postfix, squid, apache.

    Great tool for protecting your entire local network. It's much nicer than installing software on each computer in the house
